ASNM Upcoming Events

Salaam Everyone,

The upcoming events for ASNM are as follows: InshAllah.

Eid Ghurban gathering Sunday Januray 15th, 2006 from (5:30 p.m.) This will be a pot-luck event. Letters should be sent to our respected families in the upcoming week.

Afghan New Year party/concert Saturday March 25th, 2006 (5 p.m.) Our musical guest and honarmand will be Agaie Ameen Shugaee and his band. We will have our first round of ticket sales at the Eid Ghurban party. Prices are being discussed now... any suggestions?

The next ASNM election will be Sunday May 7th, 2006 (1 p.m.)

Public vs Private vs Islamic School

The concept (decision) of Public, Private and Islamic school is one that many Muslim and non-muslim alike have to make at some point in their childrens lives. In order to prepare parents and parents to be let's open a forum regarding this matter. I would like to ask everyone to participate and give your advice.

What school does your child go to? What school do you want them to go to? What do you think are the advantages and dis-advantages of the above mentioned schools?
What are the factors and criteria that are most important to you and effect your decision on the school that you send your children?

Any ideas?
